Megan & Hunter | Overlook Barn Wedding | Boone Wedding Photographer

December 6, 2018 Samantha Floyd
Megan-Hunter-Wed-0567.jpg

Megan said it best- “Overlook Barn doesn’t need a lot to make it feel warm and homey.” Add in some natural greenery and boho-chic vibes and a ton of family and friends ready to dance their butts off, and you got yourself a warm and homey situation! I love that these two wanted to combine their backgrounds (she from Pennsylvania, he from Georgia) and bring their loved ones together in a place as beautiful as the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Talk about a gorgeous middle ground! They had some southern influences like biscuits, pimento cheese, and a mashed potato bar, and some super delicious whoopie pies brought from Lancaster, PA to represent her northern roots. While it threatened rain all day, it held off so we could thoroughly enjoy those blue mountain views. Megan is a fellow Mountaineer (go App!) and she and Hunter would go hiking and camping together, so what better place to host a wedding than a place you love so much?

Venue: Overlook Barn | Videography: First Look Photo & Video | Florals: Bundles and Blooms | Catering: Gadabouts Catering | Dress: BHLDN | Ceremony Music: Earleine |Rentals: Everly Rentals | Whoopie Pies: Sunnyside Pastries in PA | Hair + Makeup: BBF Bridal Artistry |

Katie & Geoff | Linville Falls & Hawksbill Engagement | Boone Wedding Photographer

Katie and Geoff’s engagement session was everything I love about the mountains in the Fall- gorgeous colors and unpredictable weather. It was surprisingly warm at the falls, but when we reached the top of Hawksbill it became misty and cold and super moody- and oh so dreamy. <3
