Webster’s Dictionary defines wedding as ‘the fusing of two metals with a hot torch.’ Well you know something, I think you guys are two metals. Gold medals.
— Michael Scott

I live in Raleigh, North Carolina with my husband, my husky Cooper, and cat Pippin. We live a simple life getting outdoors when we can, and enjoying Netflix with The Office on repeat when we can’t. Our dream is to one day live in an A-Frame house in the woods surrounded by goats and chickens.

I graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Photography, and it’s there that I fell head over heels for mountains, adventure, and marrying portraiture with landscapes to produce artful scenes while showcasing a couples’ true personalities. While I photograph weddings digitally, I learned by photographing with film and even developing in the darkroom, and it heavily inspired the way I edit and approach natural light during every shoot and wedding.

I approach each wedding with a fresh outlook and open mind.

My ideal day isn’t contrived or forced- I love capturing genuine emotion and organic moments, because that’s the story you’ll be pulled into when you look at your photos for years and years.

It’s all about the nervousness and anticipation, and tears and giggles, and absolute joy, the moments you forgot about or didn’t even know was happening, and documenting all of that as it comes.

If you’re willing to open yourself up and show all of the things that make you YOU, the intimacy that drives your relationship and keeps you close, or the corny jokes that keep you two laughing (and maybe climb a mountain at sunset while we’re at it), we’re going to have a good time.
