Katie and Geoff’s engagement session was everything I love about the mountains in the Fall- gorgeous colors and unpredictable weather. It was surprisingly warm at the falls, but when we reached the top of Hawksbill it became misty and cold and super moody- and oh so dreamy. <3
Within the first few minutes of talking to Chris and Caroline on the phone, I was thinking to myself "oh goodness please hire me because I want to be your frieeeenndddsss." I'm weird. Anyway, thank goodness they did! I got to photograph them in their new home in West Asheville, hang out with their dog Baymax, and shoot out at Hawksbill mountain for the first time. We shot in the spring, when thousands of tiny little white flowers covered the rocky pinnacle. I may have almost passed out on the steep way up, but some well thought out bread and honey (thanks Caroline and Chris!) brought me and my low blood sugar back to life. Once we got up top, those mountains were the cure to all of my ailments.
Their wedding will be at a vintage RV campground- say whaaaaat?! Can't wait to celebrate more with these two in May!
