Hannah, Snowy Mountain Bridal Portraits

Hannah: Is it weird that I want my bridal portraits in the dead of winter surrounded by snow in the mountains?
Me: No. In fact it's amazing and perfect and I love you.

And so the most amazing bridal portrait session was born. We hiked through the Pisgah National Forest in the snow, Hannah holding her dress bag above her the entire time, and I battling quite a cold and sniffling all over the place, and took photos in the snowy woods of the Appalachian Mountains. We climbed behind a frozen waterfall, and then up a hill with amazing views and freezing winds. Her parents helped the whole time, and were so supportive!

This is what happens when two adventurous people team up in the best of ways.

Oakwood in the Spring

Ah springtime, how I miss your cool, low-humidity, bloom-filled days. Historic Oakwood Cemetery in Raleigh has always held a sort of fascination with me. There's so much history beneath those beautiful oak and magnolia trees, and I love to visit in the spring to take in the contrast of the white blossoms against the aging stone monuments and architecture. I'm so glad John and Ana Catherine volunteered to step in front of my camera that day, we made some kick ass images together.
