It’ll be hard to put this weekend in New Hampshire into words, but I mean it when I say we were all at adult summer camp. There were guests taking strolls with wet hair after a swim, while others played volleyball, and some reading books in hammocks while enjoying the breeze coming in over the lake. The welcome bonfire featured s’mores and numerous stories about Kristin and Mark, some sweet, some embarrassing yet endearing. I remember walking back to my cabin late at night marveling at how vivid the stars were, and how not like “work” this all felt. We started their wedding day canoeing and kayaking, and ended it gathered again around the camp fire under those stars passing more stories and plenty of wine. Kristin and Mark were so excited during their ceremony that they almost kissed right away as soon as she got up there! The toasts included plenty of laughter and tears. Kristin and Mark’s wedding was an incredible experience for all of us, and I can’t thank them enough for including me in it.

Kristin and Mark live in Boston, just a drive away from the magic that is New Hampshire. We planned on exploring the White Mountains of New Hampshire for their engagement photos, and when Kristin asked me if I was okay with spending the night at her family's cabin afterward, and that it was on an island, on Lake Winnipesaukee, that requires a boat to get to- you bet I was jumping up and down in my house from excitement.

We spent the weekend boating and canoeing, swimming, reading and drinking wine on the dock, and at night just enjoyed the sound of the water lapping against the shore. It was reallyyyy difficult to come home after that. So ready to go back to New Hampshire for their wedding next June!
