Becca is a fellow wedding photographer (https://www.theindieimage.com), and knew she wanted a more low key and intimate approach to her wedding. She and Phil chose Grayson Highlands State Park as their venue, and had their closest family and friends come and celebrate them with the Blue Ridge Mountains as their backdrop. Becca's cousin Lindsay of Southern Sky Design provided the most beautiful florals you could dream up. Family contributed homemade desserts, and my favorite bbq joint Woodlands BBQ out of Boone, NC filled our bellies with delicious food. Becca painted and designed the beautiful invitation and signage. So much talent all around!

We planned for some sunset photos and made our way up a trail that maybe wasn't a trail, but worked out beautifully in the end. After finishing up and heading back towards the car, we are greeted by a field full of the park's famous wild ponies. Including a foal. I could die from the cuteness. This very calm blog post can not convey my quickly beating heart and eyes filling with tears because I was so excited to be up close and petting those beautiful creatures. <3
