Wow wow wow. Feeling like the luckiest ever to do this job, and work with such wonderful souls as Chris and Caroline. They got married this Spring at Junebug Retro Resort in Asheville, NC. Junebug is a campground full of restored retro campers and RV's, and it provided the most dreamy and laid back environment for their wedding. It's relatively new, and in fact Chris and Caroline chose the venue before it officially existed, and helped the owners out while they were still building up the campground, which makes this whole thing a literal labor of love. (And how amazing is it that they are now on their honeymoon driving across Canada and America in a vintage camper??)
Friends and family from all over came to celebrate them, and goodness did they celebrate! They waved streamers and sang "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" at the top of their longs after the ceremony, participated in a group first dance, and danced the night away. Instead of a bouquet toss, they tossed a rubber chicken, just for the hell of it.
Spring and Summer in the mountains means lots of unpredictable rain and storms, but somehow we lucked out so much that the rain held off until we were all under the tent, then paused enough to let us take some more photos. The sun shown through just a bit during their handwritten vows, which continued to show us how meant to be all of this was. Oh and of course let's talk about how handsome their boxer Baymax is!

Caroline and Chris have surrounded themselves with the best kind of people: supportive, fun, loving, and ready to party. At the end of the night I was having so much fun dancing and photographing (and eating donuts), I didn't want to leave. They pull you in and make you feel so welcome and like you've known each other for years. Thank you Chris and Caroline for choosing me to photograph your day, it's one I won't ever forget!
Other special touches:
Caroline and Chris wrote their ceremony themselves, and Chris now wears his Grandfather's ring
Caroline wanted her bridesmaids to choose dresses they'd want to wear again
The (delicious) mediterranean influenced dinner was an homage to Chris' Syrian roots
The wood details with writing were all made by one her bridesmaids, and her veil was borrowed from one of her maid of honors.
