This beautiful wedding day was threatened by a hurricane that thankfully passed by the day before, leaving some beautiful overcast and cool weather in its wake. As soon as I walked into the house, I was made to feel like I was a part of the family that was gathering here, and I felt just as much that I was celebrating with Nellie and Rob as I was documenting. Nellie's family owns this historic property, and it holds a special place in their hearts.
There was so much laughter and ear to ear smiles, happy tears and hand holding. It was such an incredible day to be a part of. <3

One of my favorite moments: There's an old wives tale that says if you bury a bottle of bourbon exactly a year from your wedding day, it won't rain. Considering the hurricane that dumped rain over the whole state the day before, this bottle they buried was working overtime. My last photo of the night was after Nellie's dad passed said bourbon to all of the guests, taking the final swig for himself.
