This is Lindsey. I'm sure you've seen her on this blog before-- she's definitely a go-to fellow explorer of mine. She's an artist, and a damned good one at that. I'd love to spend just one day in her head, because the images that have been produced from her brain are compelling and thought provoking, and I'm proud to have a couple of her original works in my house.

On this particular day, we drove more than an hour on a whim of mine so we could visit the wooden pathway of Howell Woods in Four Oaks, NC, along with the surrounding rural farm lands filled with civil war history. The place was basically abandoned, and a little creepy, and right up our collective alleys.
